    Cataract surgery in eyes with complex conditions affecting the ocular surface presents surgeons with challenges that can be considerable in some cases. This applies not only to performing the operation itself – for example, when visibility is limited – but also, in particular, to the local or systemic anti-inflammatory pre- and post-operative treatment of patients.
