Prerequisites:

No previous Ziemer experience or education is required for this course.

Target group:

• Laser Operators, Nurses or Technicians working at Clinics or Hospitals which use the LDV Z8 system.
• No previous Ziemer experience or education is required for this course.
• Participants must have a general knowledge of ophthalmology. Background in a technical field is recommended.
• The language of the training course is German or English.

Objectives of the Course:

The following topics will be covered:

• System start-up and shut-down.
• Analyze and resolve minor problems after start up the machine.
• Program and prepare the machine for cataract surgery.
  (Lens fragmentation. Capsulotomy and Cornea Clear Incision).
• Program and prepare a Femto LDV Z8 for Lasik surgery (2D, 3D, and Optima).
• Surgical Support for Lasik and Cataract Application.
• Complication handling for Lasik and Cataract.
• Clinical Applications overview.
• How to transport the machine and check after transportation.
• Basic troubleshooting and remote diagnostics
