    The annual meeting of the Japanese Ophthalmology Society (JOS) is the Japanese forum for announcing the results of basic and clinical research. The 119th meeting will be held in Sapporo, Japan. An extended system of travel grants is implemented to encourage participation from overseas. The framework for English language sessions will be expanded, making it possible for English papers and presentations to be delivered at any time during the program.
