The TIGER study is a 65 centre non-commercial pan-European randomized clinical trial funded by Euretina and supported by Bayer investigating treatment of submacular hemorrhage in AMD. The aim is to study safety and efficacy of vitrectomy, sub-retinal TPA and gas for submacular haemorrhage due to wet AMD followed by intravitreal application of aflibercept compared to treatment with intravitreal aflibercept alone.
